  • Description

The Moirai (The Fates) were the three sister goddesses of destiny in Greek mythology.; Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos. They spun the thread of life of every being and when the thread is cut, the person dies. Here the artist created an abstraction of the three sisters. The three pink lines represent them, but also the threads of fate. The change in direction also represents the way life changes direction, but also, as shown by the right thread can come to an end (been cut). It can’t be clearly seen, but the right pink shape has a subtle silver line next to it, representing the scissors the sisters used to cut the thread.

The choice of colours aren’t usually what you would associate with death, but in a way after death life always follows, hence why he went for brighter bold colours.
