  • Description

Discordia was the Greek goddess of chaos, strife and discord. The shapes in the painting are chaotically positioned on the canvas to reflect the chaos she embodies. The really bright, vibrant colours are full of energy, again driving the idea of chaos in constant motion. The yellow symbolizes the golden apple, her symbol, which she used to trigger the events leading to the Trojan War. The overall style of the piece is from the supermatism era.
